Sweet Jane
When I first meet Jane she was already a golden girl.
Her hair was gray with a bit of a curl.
She was to assist me in educating the Special Needs ones.
The ones who for most people just mentioning
Special Needs makes them turn and run.
But for Jane it was different,
They gave her joy, they were fun,
She talked to them, walked with them, and helped them to write
But when things were not exactly right
Jane seemed to knew exactly what to do.
She would cut up some oranges,
turn on the kettle,
find some music to play,
and would say “come be a jolly fellow”.
We danced and we’d laughed turned tears into smiles
Jane’s fun and was like a magical play.
Our days together were very precious to me.
Jane Gould you know it was almost criminal
how much fun we had back in those classrooms days,
we were always chasing the blues away.
Flirting, dancing, and talking of kids, husbands, and dads.
You may be gone but your sweet spirit is locked in my heart.
Thank you for being a friend who could show me
how to make the most of each passing moment.
Love Always
