Obituary for Olga M. Egidio (DeRenzi)
Olga M. (DeRenzi) EGIDIO, of Arlington, MA, died at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA on January 26, 2014. Born in Tufo, Italy to the late Abele and Carmela (Florio) DeRenzi on October 8, 1923, she was 90.
Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Leo V. Egidio. Loving mother of Carmine & his wife Diane of Billerica, MA, Carla Orifice & her husband Robert of Lexington, MA, Susan Landry & her husband Gary of Center Tuftonboro, NH and the late Dino Egidio. Devoted grandmother of Douglas Orifice & his wife Stephanie, Michael Orifice, and great grandmother of Leo. Sister of Ermete DeRenzi of Italy, the late Dino DeRenzi and Philomena DeRenzi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She loved her co-residents and care givers at Waltham Crossings.
The ultimate homemaker, Olga was a parishioner of Saint Peter’s Church in Cambridge, MA. Her life centered around her husband, home and family, she enjoyed ceramics, gardening and travel.
Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Rt 60, Arlington, MA on Friday, January 31st at 9:00 am. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Peter’s Church, 100 Concord Avenue, Cambridge, MA at 10:00 am. Services will conclude with burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday, January 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
