Mary O.  Simpson
Simpson, Mary, O., of Wrentham. March 2, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Simpson to whom married to almost 55 years Devoted mother of Kathy Gillis and her husband Ralph of Victoria, B.C. Richard Simpson Jr. and his wife Karen. Loving grandmother of Sean, Danny and David. Great grandmother of the adorable Michael. She is survived by brothers Bill, Donald, Fred McNutt and sister Ruth Fitzgerald and the late Jack, Mack, Harvey, Charlie and many loving nieces and nephews. Also survived by bother-in-laws Otis (Jr.) and John Simpson and her favorite sister-in-law Judy Fagan and her mischievous cat Fluffy. Mary was born in Turo, Nova Scotia in 1925, grew up in Somerville and proudly became an American citizen in 1976. She will be terribly missed, especially her bright smile to everyone. We would like to thank Maples Newport staff and especially Nicole, Katie, Ellen, Mary Ellen and Mary Beth, for their love and kindness. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes’ Church) on Sunday from 1-4 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 12 pm. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Norwood, MA 02062.
