Carl E. Clarke, of Cambridge and Somerville, died at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge on July 19, 2014. Beloved husband of 52 years to Gilda (Pacheco) Clarke. Loving father of Manuel of Dracut, Carl of Winthrop, Paul of Somerville, Carol O’Brien of Tewksbury and Brian Clarke of Somerville. Cherished Grampie of eight, Kelleigh, Katie, Matthew, Paul, Meaghan, Catherine, Patrick and Karlie. Dear brother-in-law of Albert Pacheco & his wife Tina, Carmen Mederios, Natalie Furtado & her husband Mario, and Zelia Kelleher & her husband Joseph. He was born in Cambridge to the late Carl W. E. and Anna C. (Sullivan) Clarke on August 31, 1940 and was 73. Carl was the sole proprietor of Carl’s Arco on Huron Avenue in Cmabridge and was a 25 year member of BAC Local #3. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Wednesday at 9 am, followed by his funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Cambridge at 10 am. Services will conclude with burial in Cambridge Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm.
