McDONNELL, Jean Rose (Jones) of Arlington. March 21, 2015. Loving mother of Candace R. Zayka and her husband Christian of Holden, MA and Catherine E. Maranian and her husband Scott of Plaistow, NH. Devoted Nana to Joshua T. and Natalie E. Maranian and Cailin R. and Karina Jean Zayka. Beloved sister of Edward, Louise Lopes, Thomas, Robert, Alice Tuff, Greta, Christopher, Helen White, Carol Barbuto, John, and the late Ralph, Paul, George, Richard, and Maryanne. Her long time love Brian Winkler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was very creative. An extraordinary knitter who made everything by hand. She enjoyed decorating, drawing, reading, learning and experiencing new things. Most of all she loved playing and teaching her grandchildren all she knew. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt.60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Friday at 9 am. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Agnes Church in Arlington at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Ins., 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
