Of Medford and Mashpee, formerly of Everett died Sunday Morning after a long illness at age 86.
Peter was born in Everett, graduated Everett High School in 1948 and joined the United States Navy, serving active duty on board the USS Yellowstone during the Korean War. He then attended Salem State College and was introduced to Madeline Hertigan who would become his loving wife of 57 years. He taught at and headed the Everett High School Business Dept. until 1993.

Peter loved his home in Popponesset, a village of Mashpee, on Cape Cod where he served his community as President of the Popponesset Beach Association in the 1970’s; he was also a member of the Otis Civilian Advisory Council where he loved to golf. He was also an active member of the Amvets Post 41 of Watertown where he enjoyed monthly Monday Night Dinners with friends.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Madeline (Hertigan) DeSesa of Medford and Mashpee, sister Marie (Dolly DeSesa) Fortucci of Hamilton, daughter Susan (DeSesa) Elias of Mansfield, son John DeSesa of Methuen, and daughter Carol DeSesa of Medford, Grandchildren Zachary Elias and Adam Elias of Mansfield, Dianne DeSesa, Jacqueline DeSesa, and Katy DeSesa of Derry, New Hampshire as well as many friends, nieces and nephews.

Peter was predeceased by his parents Mary (Famiglietti) DeSesa and Peter DeSesa of Everett, his brother Michael DeSesa of Everett and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and his sister Phyllis (DeSesa) Bonafine of Medford and Boca Raton, FL.
