LYNCH, Robert W. “Ozzie”, of Somerville, September 27, 2015, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 67 years to Mary Catherine (Davidson) Lynch. Devoted father of Mary Lorraine Ripley and her husband Patrick of Stoneham, and Robert W. Lynch, Jr. and his wife Arlene of Westford. Dear brother of the late Joseph, Peter, and Rev. John Lynch. Cherished grandfather of Patrick R. Ripley and his wife Holly, Michele Lynch Baumgarten and her husband Ronald, Meaghan Ripley McDevitt and her husband Andrew, and Denise Lynch Harney and her husband Shaun. Proud great grandfather of Cameron, Jackson, and Emma Baumgarten, and Jacob McDevitt. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Robert was a former Teacher and Athletic Director for the City of Somerville for over 40 years. Late WWII Army Veteran, member of the 503rd Infantry Parachute Regiment, which jumped on Corregidor in the Philippines. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. Arlington (Adjacent to St. Agnes Church), Wednesday at 10AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St. Medford at 11AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8PM. Interment in North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Bob's name to the Trappist Monks of Saint Joseph’s Abbey, 167 North Spencer Road, Spencer, MA 01562.
