Condolence: As a brand new teacher, right out of college in 1972, Jack was my vice- principal and then principal. He and Tom Oates led a very young staff and really developed some exceptional teachers at the West Junior High. Four of my five children were fortunate to have him as their principal at the Watertown Middle School. Most importantly he was my husband's eighth grade English teacher in 1965 and he changed the course of his life. He was a mentor and a friend to my entire family and always kept in touch. Boston College High School's motto is "Men for Others" and Jack was exactly that. Our thanks to his family for sharing him with us. His wake and funeral were a tribute to the man he was. He touched so many lives. I know what a difference he made for my family.
