William J.  Dinsmore
DINSMORE, William J., of Cambridge. Passed away peacefully on November 17th, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved son of the late Joseph W. and Agnes E. (McKenna) Dinsmore of Cambridge and beloved husband of Bridget (Liggett). Loving father of Paul Dinsmore and wife Heather of Billerica, Patricia DeCaprio and husband Michael of Byfield. Devoted grandfather of Kelly, Joseph and Ryan. Brother of Elizabeth Peters and her husband William, and Uncle of Edward Peters and Sharon (Peters) Hirth of Michigan. William was born and raised in Cambridge and resided all his life in the same house. He attended St. Paul’s Elementary School, Rindge Technical High School, and The Peterson School in Woburn. He worked for Harvard University for over 50 years transferring to the Operating Engineers in 1968 as an HVAC Mechanic and finally retiring from that position in 2009. For years, Bill was active in the Cambridge Council Boy Scouts and enjoyed many trips to Camp Quinapoxet in West Rindge, NH. He enjoyed spending time in Maine with his daughter Patricia and his son in law Mike, fixing cars, camping, spending time with family, and especially supporting his grandchildren in their activities. He also enjoyed all animals, including taking care of his ‘grand cats’ Boo and Brina. Visiting Hours will be held at Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass. Ave., CAMBRIDGE on Saturday, from 9-11 am, immediately followed by a Service at 11am. Burial to follow at Cambridge Cemetery.
