ALICE R. DORRINGTON – cherished wife of the late Paul E. Dorrington for 56 years. Beloved daughter of the late Annie and James Carmody of Arlington. Loving mother to P. Ted Dorrington and his wife, Eileen of CT, Maureen Raymond and her husband, Anthony, of Winchester, Barbara Bowers and her husband, T.K. of Tyngsboro, Charleen Costa and her husband, John, of Tewksbury, and the late Donnamarie Forgione of Arlington, formerly of North Reading. Devoted grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Over her lifetime, Alice demonstrated her love and devotion to her family. She had an amazing gift of having a special relationship with each of her grandchildren. She met her husband, Paul in Arlington, where she was born and raised, and, she and Paul enjoyed many great times socializing with friends.

As a life-long resident of Arlington, Alice was a member of the Arlington Catholic Women’s Club for over fifty years, and she was a faithful communicant at St. James Church and St. Eulalia’s Church. Alice worked as the Function Manager at the Officer’s Club at Hanscom Air Force Base for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed planning family events and special occasions for the family. She enjoyed playing Bingo and she always took an interest and struck up a conversation with many who she met along the way. She was a lively sports enthusiast, particularly enjoying the Patriots and the Boston Red Sox! She enjoyed her 90th birthday party, when her entire family traveled across the country to honor her. Alice will be lovingly remembered as a caring mother and friend who was a wonderful role model to her family. She will be missed very much. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice’s name to: Winchester Nursing Center Residents’ Council, 223 Swanton Street, Winchester, MA 01890.

Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington, on Thurs. June 2 at 9 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wed. from 4-8 PM. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
