Robert E. "Bob"  Schaejbe
SCHAEJBE, Robert E. "Bob", of Somerville, October 10, 2016. Born in Cambridge, MA on April 29, 1927 to Oscar and Agnes Schaejbe (MacDougall). Bob lived most of his life in Somerville, graduating from Somerville High School in 1945. Shortly thereafter, Bob was in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. He and his beloved wife Rita (Esdra) were married in St. John's Church on May 24, 1953. Rita predeceased Bob on August 29, 2010. Bob is survived by his children Robert Jr. and his wife Dianne of Somerville, Carl of Medford, Thomas and his wife Karen of Arlington, and Roseanne of Burlington. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Samantha Fahey and her husband Michael of Newburyport, Kathryn, Casey, Chelsea, Anthony, Alexander and his wife Rebecca of Indiana, Jason and Nicholas, also great grandchildren Gianna, James, Matthew, Josefine, and Nora. Bob also leaves his brother David and his wife Mary of Salem. He is predeceased by his only sister Elinor Corbin who died on May 11, 2015. Bob also leaves brother-in-law Joseph Esdra and his wife Barbara of Saugus. Bob and Rita spent many joyful summer and winter weekends in their home away from home in Rindge, NH, together with their children and grandchildren, swimming, boating, fishing, and snowmobiling. Employed by the Shawmut Bank for more than 32 years. Bob started as a teller and retired as a senior trust officer. He also served as the bank's representative to Jr. Achievement of Boston. He also served as president of the Securities Operations Assoc. of New England. Bob graduated from the American School of banking in Boston. Completed courses at Williams College and graduated with honor from Northeastern University. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Thursday at 9am. Funeral Mass in Saint John's Church, Cambridge at 10am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
