Stella Ann (Pino) Celona, a longtime resident of Arlington MA, died November 27th at the age of 90. Born to Gaetano and Mary (Fassi) Pino on November 16, 1926, Stella was raised in East Boston and Allston. She graduated from Fitton High School at 16, and then attended Boston College.

In 1948, she wed Stephen S. Celona, and was married to him until his death in 1996. The couple made their home in Arlington, and raised a family of five children. Over the years, Stella was employed at area businesses including Filene's, Zayre Corporation, and Star Brush Manufacturing Company.

Stella is mourned by daughter Ann Maria Celona, and John Mello of Kensington CA; daughter Carla Celona, and Robert Buzderewicz of Rockland ME, son Francis Celona, and Jane Celona of Bangor PA; son Stephen M. Celona, and Heather Linnell of Hollis ME; and daughter Lisa Celona, and Joseph Moreno of Cheshire and Windham, CT. Stella took great pride in her nine grandchildren: Felicia and Gabriel Mello; Jonathan, Stephen, and Vincent Celona; Thomas and Kasey Celona; and Michael and Maria Lavallee. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday November 30 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington MA. A 10 am Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday December 1 at Saint Agnes Church, also in Arlington, where Stella was a member for more than 50 years. Burial will be at Saint Michael's Cemetery in Forest Hills MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Comprehensive Breast Health Center at Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01803.
