DORRINGTON, Robert L.,
Of Weston, formerly of Arlington. Passed peacefully at the age of 96, on July 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Catherine (Donovan). Loving father of Leo Dorrington and his wife Barbara of Somerville, Ann Stewart and her husband James of Weston, Ellen Dorrington of Medford, Karen Tierno and her husband Anthony of Reading, and the late Robert F. Dorrington and Dennis M. Dorrington. Dear brother of the late Mary Boutiette, Walter Dorrington, Paul Dorrington, Virginia “Alice” Plausky, and Charles Dorrington. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Former Capt. Arlington Fire Department and Late WWII Navy Veteran and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Saturday, at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Visiting Hours Friday at the funeral home from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Fidelity House, 25 Medford Street, Arlington MA 02474 and Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Hospice Care, 200 Springs Rd., Bedford, MA 01730.
