Lifelong resident of Arlington. Passed away peacefully at his home on October 4, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Donna (Normandin) and the late Mary Nancy (O’Connell). Devoted father of Philip A. and his wife Carol of Medford, Edward and his wife Karen of Arlington, Michael and his wife Trish of Wethersfield, CT, Brian and his wife Patty of Medway, David and his wife Susan of Medway, Patricia Zambardino and her husband Anthony of Arlington, Mary Simpson and her husband Christopher of Woburn, Christine Naroian and her husband Philip of Haverhill, Joyce Wormwood and her husband Erik of Woburn, and Catherine Bishop and her husband Connor of Arlington. Cherished and proud “Pa” to twenty eight grandchildren. Dear brother of Margaret McNamara of Lexington, Sr. Claire McDonald CSJ of Brighton, and the late Irene O’Brien, Patricia Waters, Jane Duggan, and Catherine Harrington. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lifelong devoted and faithful parishioner of St. Agnes Church, Arlington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington on Monday from 3-7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in church on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil’s memory may be made to Fidelity House, 25 Medford Street, Arlington MA 02474.
