Obituary for Doris M. O'Neill (Welch)

O'Neill, Doris M. (Welch) of Arlington passed away peacefully at her home on May 22 at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Robert E. O’Neill. Devoted mother of Doreen O’Neill Kenny and her late husband Denis of Sydney, Australia; Donna McNulty of Amesbury; Debra O’Neill Brown and her husband Stephen of Sandown, NH; Robert E. O’Neill, Jr. and Dona Murray of Meredith, NH; Eugene F. O’Neill of Arlington; Paul X. O’Neill and his wife Jeannie of Arlington. Also survived by her sister Mary Pieruzzi of Athens, NY. Predeceased by her parents Francis and Catherine (Clark) Welch and her four brothers Harold, Francis, Robert and Gordon Welch. Beloved Nana to her 13 grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Katherine, Rebecca, Julie, Timothy, Susan, Robert III, Conor, Patrick, Brian, Hannah and Brianna. Nana-Nana to her nine great-grandchildren: Charlotte, James, Timothy, Emily, Jack, Elliot, Matthew, Kellan and Michael. “Dory” was the longtime secretary of Saint Jerome Catholic Church in Arlington for nearly 30 years until it was closed in 2004. Member of the Arlington Catholic Women’s Club and a 1944 graduate of Arlington High School. Visiting hours from 4 pm to 8 pm at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Arlington on Wednesday May 23, 2018. Funeral Mass at 10 am, in St. Camillus Church, Arlington on May 24, 2018. Burial immediately following in The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Catholic Television, P.O.
