SLATER, William R. “Bill”,
of Medford, July 1, 2018. Beloved husband of 15 years to Janice M. (Shaw). Proud father of Vincent Albano-Slater and Tyler Shaw-Slater. Born and raised in Somerville to the late James Slater, Jr. and Elizabeth (McLean). Dear brother of James Slater III and his wife Nancy of Billerica, Michael Slater and his wife Nancy of Weymouth, and Anne Olivieri and her husband Ken of Tewksbury. Bill is also survived by the Shaw Family, and many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers. He proudly worked for Verizon for over 25 years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. (adjacent to St. Agnes Church, Rt. 60) ARLINGTON, Friday from 9-11am. His Funeral Mass will follow in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St. Arlington at 11:30am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
