It was heartbreaking to hear of Patrick's illness and deeply saddening to hear of is untimely passing. Cathy had shared that the Dohertys went out to California for Christmas as your gift to one another and an opportunity to share time with Patrick. What a beautiful sign of the spirit and love within the family.
Now more than ever you will need to be there for one another to walk through this deep loss.
I had a medical commitment on Friday that made it impossible for me to get to the wake, but undoubtedly it must have been a large crowd of caring families and friends.
Hope to get to the funeral in the morning, but it is unlikely that I will get to see you.
Know the prayers I was saying for all of you will continue. Patrick will be held in the hearts of many. He will be remembered for his spirit, courage, Love of family and joy of life.
