He was the beloved son of Margaret O’Rourke and the late John O’Rourke and loving brother of Michele Platt, Susan Von Struensee, Carolyn O’Rourke, and brother-in-law Gary Platt. He was also the proud uncle of Brian Platt and Michael Platt and cherished by many relatives and friends.

Professionally, his successful career spanned over 30 years at Exxon Mobile Corporation before retiring in 2017. A most generous and kind man, John donated regularly, both of his time and money, to several favorite charities in support of youth programs, including: Citrus College Alumni and Friends Association, Glendora Public Library Foundation, St Dorothy Catholic Church, Boy Scouts of America, RedSox Foundation, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (The Jimmy Fund) and Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education Automotive Program.

Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701. For online condolences, please visit www.keefefuneralhome.com
