James J. Tierney, a retired Arlington Police Officer, of St. Augustine, FL, formerly of Arlington, died in Florida on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Beloved husband of Helen (Kelley) Tierney. Loving father of James J. Tierney of Philmont, NY, Carolyn Ann Tierney of Watertown and Kathryn Ann Tierney & her husband Steven Doona of Arlington. Brother of Ruth Burke of NH and Phyllis White of Arlington. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Cecilia, Bailee and James Tierney. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt.60, Arlington on Tuesday, February 22nd at 10:30 am. His funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Agnes Church, 30 Medford Street, Arlington at 11:30 am. Services will conclude with burial in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:30 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home on Monday from 3 to 7 pm.
