Obituary for Arthur R. Dyette

DYETTE, Arthur, of Boston, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023. Arthur was born November 10, 1957 at the Boston City Hospital. He was the son of the late George Dyette and Janice L. Sheffield.

Author went to the Champlain Elementary School in Dorchester, MA before moving to Mission Hill. He also went to the Tobin Annex in graduated from the Timothy middle school in Roxbury. He went to Inner City where he got his GED by completing a program in which he got a job at BASF in Burlington, MA, making cassette tapes.

As a kid, he raised his dog major who grew up with him. He also enjoyed collecting antique coins. Arthur was known for getting cars and racing them up and down the American Legion Highway. Shortly after he turned negatives into positives - he began buying cars and fixing them. Arthur was like the neighborhood mechanic. He was a good man and he lived a very private life. He loved to walk and it was one of his favorite hobbies.

Author was a brother to a big family. Leaving behind his sisters, Doreen and Deirdre, and brother, Michael, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is now joining his heavenly siblings. Alice, Christine , George, and his parents.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave, NORTH CAMBRIDGE, on Friday, May 12th from 5-7PM. A Prayer Service will immediately follow at 7PM in the funeral home. His Burial will be Private.
