Bane, Barbara M. (Connell) of Arlington, formerly of Belmont and Cambridge, passed peacefully with family by her side on February 1, 2021. She was 89 years old. Daughter of the late Walter Connell and Honora (Foley). Born July 21, 1931, she was the beloved wife of the late Francis G. Bane, Sr. Dear and devoted mother of Barbara F. Bane of Charlottesville, Va., Stephen M. Bane and his wife Beth of Alexandria, Va., Brian J. Bane and his wife Catherine of Knoxville, TN, Francis G. Bane and his wife Mary of Walpole, Michael J. Bane and his wife Anne of Cambridge, and the late Alison Bane. Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren. Dear sister of Patricia Rhodes of Arlington and the late Jean Connell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11AM in St John’s Church, 2254 Mass Ave in North Cambridge where she was married 65 years ago. Relatives and friends are invited. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
