Obituary for Carmela 'Carol' Treacy (Tombion)

Carmela “Carol” Treacy, a long-time resident of Malden, Ma, passed away Saturday, the 29th day of June, 2019, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born on September 7, 1937, Carol was married to John “Jack” Treacy for 61 years. Carol is survived by her husband, Jack, her 6 six children, John, Cheryl, Sharon, Scott, David and Paul. Carol has 13 grandchildren, Joseph, John, Eileen, Lauren, Brianna, Austin, Alexa, Samantha, Sabina, Christian, Ryan, Luca and Michael. Carol also has 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Tessa. Also survived by her sister, Marie Corvino, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In Carol’s junior year of high school, she was selected by the school to work for The Law Office of Lewis Glaser of Malden for 8 years. Carol was married on September 1, 1958. Carol love children and took care of children throughout her life with the Catholic Charities of Somerville, Ma., for 24 years.

Carol’s favorite past-time was spending time in Laconia, at different cottages they purchased throughout the years. She loved having her children and grand-children come up to enjoy the lake with the various water activities. Carol cooked continuously and everyone looked forward to her 4th of July cake, lasagna, many other delicious dishes!

We will celebrate Carol at St. Joseph’s Church in Malden, MA, with Father Hughes, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6th, 2019, followed by a lunch at Anthony’s of Malden on Canal Street.
