Obituary for Charles F. "Chuck" Colombino

Charles F. “Chuck” Colombino, 70, Melrose, MA died Saturday, April 4. He was born to the late Ralph Frank Colombino and Marilyn Doran Colombino in Passaic, NJ and was raised in Warwick, RI. He was graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in 1967 and went on to receive a BA from Boston College, an Ed.M. in Counseling in the Community from Salem State University, and an MBA from Boston University. His early career success as an outpatient counselor at Salem Hospital was matched, if not surpassed, by his later achievements in the computer industry as a software engineer and a technical project manager. Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, great uncle, friend, student, colleague, volunteer, and neighbor. To all who knew him he was a kind and gentle soul.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Carol A. Sardo; son Jason C. Colombino and wife Kerry, Danvers, MA and granddaughter Reese and grandson Ryan; son Michael J. Colombino, Los Angeles, CA; brother Ralph Colombino, San Diego, CA and wife Jane; sister Eileen Kelly, Cary, NC; brother Paul Colombino, South Kingstown, RI and wife Denise; predeceased sister Rose (Colombino) Waligowski and brother William Colombino; nephew Stephen Kelly, Freeport, ME and wife Jocelyn; niece Jessica Kelly, Cary, NC and husband David Garrigues; nephew Corey Colombino, Henderson, NV; nephew Casey Colombino, San Diego, CA; nephew Alex Colombino, San Francisco, CA; nephews Michael Colombino and Daniel Colombino; and former spouse Maureen Colombino. He also leaves a loving and caring extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and his special four-legged companions Dora and Snowflake.
