MANFRA, Corinne R. (Bernicchi)
Lifelong resident of Somerville, passed peacefully on November 26, 2020, at the age of 104. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Manfra. Loving mother of the late Louis P. Manfra and Robert A. Manfra. Dear sister of Lorraine DiVasta of Somerville. Loving grandmother to Jennifer R. Manfra-Levitt of Melrose, Christopher R. Manfra of Vienna, VA, Dennis A. Manfra of Raleigh, NC, Louis P. Manfra II of Columbia, MO, and Sydney Fenske of Austin, TX Also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, many dear nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Corrine has had a century of life experiences. She not only lived through the Spanish Flu pandemic, but the current Covid pandemic and has witnessed two World Wars. She was a kind, loving, and strong woman who was devoted to her family. She cherished those moments spent most with her family. Especially times around the kitchen table, holidays, and Brant Rock. Corrine loved sports, especially watching the Red Sox, and would often reminisce about her days as an athlete at Somerville High School. She always thought of others and passed a lifetime of wisdom down to her sons, grandchildren, and countless other people who had the privilege of knowing her and spending time with her. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John’s Church, on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 11AM. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Corinne’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
