Life gives us brief moments with another...but sometimes in those brief moments we get memories that last a lifetime. Our hearts are heavy--with emotions for which there are no words. We will continuously and fervently pray for his soul, for his friends and for our family. May we all find some semblance of peace in the days, weeks, months and years to come. Daniel made us all fall in love with him...his humor, his heart, and his mind. I pray that he is resting in peace now. He will continue to be held deeply in all of our thoughts and prayers! ~ Raymond & Sharon Padilla

I have only had the pleasure of knowing Daniel for a short period of time as a student this semester in my Child Development class. He impressed with his readiness to complete assignments earlier than requested. I am shocked and saddened to learn of his passing and want to extend my sincerest sympathy to his family.

Daniel was enrolled in one of my courses this semester. It was obvious from meeting him that he was a great person. Such a tragic loss.
