Obituary for Doris C. Angelis

ANGELIS, Doris C. “Dotty” (Ronayne), of Somerville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 10, 2021. She was ninety years of age. Born and raised in Somerville, Doris “Dotty” was the beloved wife of the late George A. Angelis, and the daughter of the late Frances (Hurley) and Edward Ronayne. Devoted mother of Catherine Rooney and her husband, Stephen, of Somerville, Joanne Brandt and her late husband, Fred, of Watertown, and Frances Bedell and her husband, Jeffrey, of Somerville. Cherished grandmother of Michael Rooney and his fiancée, Rosalina, of Billerica, Michelle Rooney of Somerville, Wesley Fraser and his wife, Molly, of Plymouth, Caitlin Warren and her husband, Peter, of Salem, NH, and Matthew Bedell of Somerville. Cherished great grandmother of Scarlett Rae Warren, who truly gave her hours of joy. Sister-in-law of James Angelis of Cocoa Beach, FL, and the late Collette Wooldridge. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her sisters, Geraldine Antusis, Delores Edwards, and Shirley Ronayne. Doris loved Spending time with family, shopping, playing the lottery, bingo, trips with her best friend and late sister-in-law, Collette. She and her husband enjoyed summers in Maine and winters in South Carolina. While practicing social distancing and wearing a mask, relatives & friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave, NORTH CAMBIDGE on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2-5PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11AM in St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 179 Summer Street, Somerville.
