Obituary for Edmund T. Burke
Edmund “Tracy” Burke of Shirley, formerly Arlington, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the age of 67. Born in Newton, MA to the late Edmund W. and Anne (Sullivan) Burke, Tracy would spend most of his life in Arlington where he met his beloved late wife Donna (LaRue) Burke, also formerly of Arlington. He is also predeceased by his loving sister Anne Marie (Burke) Casey, of Arlington.
He is survived by his two children: Edmund “Cory” Burke, of Shirley, and his partner Samantha Elliott, of Claremont, NH; Shawna and Peter LeDuc, of Fairfax, VT. Tracy is also survived by five granddaughters; Kennedy, Mia, Eleanor, Scarlett and Anastasia; and one nephew: Patrick Casey, of Newton, NH.
After retiring from EMD Millipore as a Mix Room Supervisor, with a patent for composite ultrafiltration membranes, Tracy would spend his days working on his Buick classic cars and going cruising once the weather was nice. He enjoyed riding his Harley and could be found doing road trips to Sturgis and Laconia with his buddies and then his son, once he was old enough to ride. An avid animal lover, he made sure his dogs, Spike and Bear, never went without. He would take them to the park daily for play time and, if not, they could be found driving around doing miscellaneous errands together. A devoted father and grandfather, he was always there for his family. Any extra time was spent with his granddaughters, whom he absolutely cherished. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family, friends and, of course, his dogs. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington, MA 02474 on Friday September 23, 2022 from 4-7 pm. Burial and services are private.
