Francis “Frank” Lange of Cambridge, MA passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023, with his family by his side after a strong and fearless battle with pancreatic cancer. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Florence “Barrett” Lange, Daughter Laura “Lange” Connolly and her husband Richard Connolly, son Frank Lange and his wife Danielle “Garner” Lange and very cherished grandson Theo Al Lange – who called his grandfather Pepere (now his guardian angel). Frank is predeceased by his father Alfred Lange, retired Captain of the Cambridge Police Department, mother Theresa “Bedard” Lange, and brother David Lange. Frank grew up in Cambridge where he attended Cambridge High and Latin. Frank is a lifelong resident of Cambridge where he and his wife Flo raised their two children. Frank is a retired Sergeant from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department after almost 38 years on the job. After retirement, Frank got a part time job (typically over 40 hours a week) working for Mahoney’s delivering flowers. After leaving Mahoney’s Frank spent his days going out on day trips with his wife, traveling on the motorcycle, reading, cutting wood, working on cars, and spending time with friends and family. Frank enjoyed sitting out on the front porch talking to neighbors about anything and everything. Frank was a loving and loyal husband, dedicated father, grandfather, and father-in-law who loved his family with every fiber in his being. Frank will be sorely missed by family and friends.
