Genevieve was born in Somerville, MA and spent her childhood in South Boston. Her fondest memories were being with her 5 brothers and cousins on Castle Island. She loved her summers as a child.
She went to St Eulalia Catholic school then onto beauty school. She started working for Elizabeth Arden Red Door on Newbury Street in her early 20’s. She loved the beauty and skin care industry. Elizabeth Arden personally selected her employees. She selected Genevieve because of her flawless skin. She worked at the Red Door for over 30 years. She loved her celebrity clientele. Overall, she loved her choice of career with Elizabeth Arden.
She took great care of her skin and health. She instilled this into how she raised her children. Genevieve and her husband Gerald made sure we got our exercise with long walks, swimming in the freezing waters of Hampton beach NH and the warm water beaches in West Dennis on Cape Cod. She loved ice skating at Hills Pond in the winter.
Genevieve lived in Arlington for 69 years. Her neighbors loved her and always looked forward to her famous homemade whole wheat chocolate chip cookies that she shared with them. She also loved to make homemade birthday cakes for her children and husband every year. They all had their own special requests and she delivered with a smile.
Genevieve was an avid reader, she loved romantic novels. Her favorite author was Danielle Steele. Daniel Steele has written 190 books and Genevieve has read all of them. She loved sitting under the gazebo in Florida and was at peace just looking at the ocean.

Nothing gave her more pleasure than being with her family.
