Obituary for Helena M. "Lena" Regan

REGAN, Helen M. “Lena”, of Somerville, passed peacefully on October 23, 2020 at the age of 93. Beloved daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary Ellen Regan, formerly of Co. Cork, Ireland. She leaves behind her dear cousin Sheila Hurley of Somerville, and many devoted relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th from 11am-12pm in Sts. Louis and Zelie Martin Parish, St. Catherine's Church, 185 Summer Street, Somerville. Her Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12pm. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Those attending the Funeral Mass must register online at http://www.stsmartinparish.org/register-event or by calling the St. Catherine Rectory. The funeral mass will be live streamed from the Funeral Homes Facebook page. Services will conclude with a burial in North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lena’s memory to a charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear of Lena’s passing. We have some great memories of her all our lives. From pictures to parcels. We were the first to have a video of her trips. She was like Santa once a year. When We married we went to Boston on our honeymoon Her father Jerry gave us holiday to Cape Cod. Still a highlight. It was the start of our trips abroad. Well will miss her generosity, charm and smile. Thanks for the memories. Great to have met her on her last visit to Ireland. May she rest in peace. Catherine and Liam.

Our deepest sympathy to Lena's dear cousin Sheila. Lena and Sheila gave me Jacinta and my best friend Majella a super time when we stayed with them in Sept 1984. Lena n Sheila u cudnt do enough for us and for my parents Michael and Mary when they visited years later. A great house to call on.
