Obituary for Irene G. Jones (Hall)

JONES, Irene G. (Hall) of Rowley, formerly of Arlington, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019. Jones was the beloved wife of the late John W. Jones Jr., and is survived by her daughters Marilyn Jones DaSilva of Andover, Cheryl Jones of Topsfield, and her son Jerry Jones of Everett. Jones was a loving mother to the late John W. Jones III, Daniel Jones and Christopher Jones of Arlington. Jones was a devoted grandmother to Michael and Jenna DaSilva, and Ali Van Straten, and great grandmother of Aubrey Van Straten. Jones was the sister of Geraldine Crocker of Hyannisport, Kathryn Boch of Hyannis, and the late Mary Antonelli and Helena Flynn. A private funeral will be held at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) in Arlington on Saturday, December 21st, at 9 am. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass being held at Saint Agnes Church, Arlington, at 10 am. The burial will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, immediately following the Mass and a luncheon will be held at the Knights of Columbus, 15 Winslow Street, Arlington. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 20th, 4-7 pm at Keefe Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA www.mspca.org, Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. or Arlington Boys and Girls Club, abgclub.org.
