HARRINGTON, James B. of Arlington, passed away on July 24, 2022 after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. Loving son of the late Jeremiah and Margaret (Murphy) Harrington of Charlestown, MA. Devoted husband of 57 years to the late Leila Margaret (Cummings) Harrington. Beloved father of Sheila Harrington of Arlington, Denise Depault and her husband Tim of Purcellville, VA, and Patricia and Theresa Harrington of Arlington. Adored Grampy of Matthew, Maggie, Patrick, and Colin, all of Purcellville, VA. Dear brother of Catherine Dickinson of Wilmington, Anne Sullivan of Charlestown, and the late John, Gerald, Dennis, and Michael Harrington, Mary McLaughlin, Eileen Mirra, and Margaret Neitz. Brother-in-law of Peter Neitz of Quincy and Sara Louise Behnke and her husband John of Fort Myers Beach, FL. Cherished dear friend of Phyllis and Hal Greene and family of Arlington. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Jim served as a member of the Military Police of the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he met his future wife. He was an electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 103 for 54 years. His Funeral will be held from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt 60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church), ARLINGTON. His Funeral Mass will be held in St. Agnes Church on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at 11:30am. Visiting Hours will be in the Funeral Home on Monday, August 1st from 9:30 to 11am. Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
