Obituary for Jean M. Roberts Serra (Roberts)
Serra, Jean M. Roberts, age 70, of Arlington, passed away peacefully April 5, 2023, due to COPD and other health related complications. She was born on July 7, 1952 in Somerville, Massachusetts and was the loving daughter of the late Mary (Fee) Roberts and Louis Roberts. Devoted mother of Joseph Serra, Matthew Serra, and his wife Jodi. Loving grandmother of Helena and Aaron. Sister of Mary, Patricia, John (her twin), Bernadette, Barbara, Christine, Ann Louise, Diane, Louis, Pamela and all of her nieces and nephews.
Jean was a thoughtful kind hearted woman who loved to bless people with small acts of kindness. Jean raised her two loving sons, Joseph and Matthew, in Sharon, MA. She love to read, watch Red Sox games and especially made sure she caught Judge Judy. Traveling to Texas and New York to visit family filled her heart and brought her the biggest smiles. Jean was a strong fighter. She is now soaring high above, free from pain, gliding off into the sunset.
Visiting hours will be held at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. Arlington on Tuesday, April 11th , from 5 – 8 PM. Jean’s funeral mass will be celebrated in St. John Church, 2254 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, on Wednesday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Please go directly to church. Services will conclude with her burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
