McHugh, John J. "Sonny", of Somerville, formerly of Cambridge, passed peacefully on January 7, 2021, at the age of 79. Beloved son of the late James F. McHugh, Sr. and Gladys T. (Holmes). Loving brother of James F. McHugh, Jr. and his late wife Karen, and the late baby girl Joanne McHugh. Devoted uncle of Kerry Lynne McHugh and her husband Cary Scott of San Diego, and Carol Bianco and her husband Joseph of Medford. Proud great uncle of Joseph, James, and Michael, and great-great uncle of Joseph and Sophia. Longtime companion and friend of the late Mary Agee. John worked for the City of Cambridge for many years. He was a proud graduate of Cambridge High and Latin. All Services at this time will be Private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date when it is safe for relatives and friends to gather.
