Obituary for Kathleen A. Coombes (Harvey)
COOMBES, Kathleen A. (Harvey), of Arlington, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Paul Coombes, of Felixstowe, Suffolk, England. Loving mother of Bryce Coombes of Maynard. Cherished daughter of Louise Harvey (Kilroy) of Arlington, and the late James Harvey. Devoted sister of Janet Rogers and her husband Mike of Topsfield, Christopher Harvey and his wife Christine of Needham, and the late Paul Harvey. Dear sister-in-law of Debbie Harvey of Woburn and Brian Langham of England. Kathy is aunt to many nieces and nephews here and in England.
Kathleen graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School and Mount Auburn School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for many years at Symmes Hospital, Arlington and Winchester Family Associates. Over the course of her long career as a nurse, she gave comfort, care, and compassion to countless patients. In her final days, she was repaid in kind by so many.
Visiting hours will be held at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Arlington, Wednesday, January 4th, from 9 AM to 11 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St. Arlington at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Good Shepard Community Care, 160 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
