Obituary for Kenneth P. Dailey

DAILEY, Kenneth P. (79) of Cambridge, on June 5, 2021. Beloved husband of 32 years of Sheila Halloran of Cambridge. Son of the late Francis D., and Regina L. (Sweeney) Dailey of Cambridge. Loving brother of Diane M. Deeran (Dailey) and her husband John E. of Salem, N.H. Preceded in death by his brother Donald F. of Cambridge. Also survived by his loving sister in law Joanne Dobbins of Tewksbury, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, great niece, great nephews, and cherished friends. Retired from the City of Somerville School Department, where he served as teacher and Chief Superintendent of Attendance. As a Recreation Director for the City of Cambridge, Rindge Shelter Teen Center, he led numerous community-based projects. Upon graduating St. John’s Seminary, he assumed the Office of the Diaconate. Hobbies included cinematography, videography, travel, and sharing memorable moments with those he loved and appreciated. Relatives and friends are invited to the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE, on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am. Followed by his funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Cambridge on Wednesday at 11 am. Burial immediately to follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
