Obituary for Kevin M. Canniff

Canniff, Kevin Michael, of Arlington, MA, age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving and caring family on March 16, 2022. Born June 28, son of the (late) Philip F. and Anne Louise (Fitzgerald) Canniff and beloved nephew of Maureen C. and (late) Donald J. Canniff of Arlington.

Loving father of Donald Joseph Canniff and step-father of Olivia DeLuca and their mother, Karla Iovanna Canniff, of North Reading. Devoted brother of Philip Canniff and wife, Susan of Saugus, Brian Canniff and wife, Shirley of Arlington, Shawn Canniff of Leland, NC, Kerryanne Diehl and husband Christopher of Dedham and Andrew Canniff of Billerica.

Kevin proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. Throughout his life, he worked for United Parcel Service, Brinks, Inc. and TJX Corporation. Kevin had a keen sense of humor and was always the life of the party. His smile would light up a room and his laugh was wonderfully contagious. Kevin was also an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing golf with his brothers and going to Patriot games with his sister and brother-in-law. He enjoyed being in New Hampshire and boating on Newfound Lake where he and his family spent many summers. Family meant everything to Kevin. He was a great brother, father, and son. He was always there whenever we needed him, ready with a loving hand. Kevin loved nothing more than spending time with his children DJ and Olivia and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was always dancing and enjoyed all kinds of music, especially live performances. Kevin was an animal lover too, from his first dog, a Rottweiler named Chloe, to his newest dog, a German shepherd named Nala, who remained by his side until the end. Always in our hearts.

Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Tuesday from 4-7PM in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, ARLINGTON. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford Street, Arlington at 11:30am. Military Honors will follow. Burial will be Private.
