Obituary for Laingor Chin

Laingor Chin passed away peacefully at home on December 15th on her 97th birthday. Laingor was born in Taishan, China and emigrated to the United States in 1948 after she married her husband, King Thue, who pre-deceased her. She lived most of her life in the Boston area making a home for her family.

One of her greatest joys was returning to China to see her ancestral home and reunite with relatives she had not seen for almost fifty years.

She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, and being with her family.

Laingor is survived by her five children: Lorraine (Harold) Lim, Dennis (Lily) Chin, Elizabeth (John) Bowman, Annette (Guy) Young, and Nancy (Donald) Choing and their families. She was the beloved "Por Por" to her grandchildren, Melissa, Daniel, Gregory, Jonathan, Kiichi, Justin, Suzy, Allison, Stephanie, and Kelsey and "Bak Bak" to her great-grandchildren, Jun, Charlotte, Raegan, Riley, Shara, Leah, Ian, and Emily, and enjoyed watching each one grow and bloom.

She will be forever missed and remembered lovingly by her family for her generosity and genuine care for others.

Those who wish to honor Laingor's memory may donate to either of these organizations that provided her with loving care:
- VNA Care Hospice, 199 Rosewood Drive Suite 180 Danvers MA 01923
