KELLEY, Lucille M. (Ferolito), Lifelong resident of North Cambridge, passed away on May 30, 2021 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Robert V. Kelley of Cambridge. Devoted and proud ‘Nunni’ of Mackenzie, Madison, Jack, Sean, Chris, Jake, and Emily. Dear sister of Joseph Ferolito and Albert Feroleto. Lucille is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and former students.
Lucille was loved by all in Cambridge and beyond. She had a friendly personality that made talking to her easy. She made new friends throughout her life. She always held dear to her heart her original club friends who she would remain friends with from an early age.
Mrs. Kelley was a life long educator. She started her teaching career at St. John’s the Evangelist School teaching kindergarten. She found a passion in putting on her yearly graduation shows. Mrs. Kelley continued her teaching career at the Peabody School in Cambridge. Each morning students looked forward to seeing her warm smile and welcoming acknowledgement that they have arrived and they are loved.
Mrs. Kelley enjoyed her summers working at the Fitzgerald summer camp. She loved directing the end of the year productions.
Lucille always put her beloved family first. She loved cooking for her family especially her husband Bobby Kelley who she was married to for 54 years. She didn’t miss a sports game or performance for her children or grandchildren. She often brought a goodie bag along with her to give out surprises to everyone there.
Lucille had a signature symbol of love and recognition which was her good badges. If you knew Lucille you were probably blessed with one of these badges.
Please bring a good badge to the wake or funeral to show the family how much Mrs. Lucille Kelley meant to you.
