Obituary for Mary Grace Firth (De Vellis)
Mary Grace (De Vellis) Firth of Milford, MA, went to heaven on February 17, 2024. She was born in Quincy, MA in 1945 to Frank and Mary De Vellis and grew up in Somerville, MA. She worked as a Hospital Administrator in Cambridge, MA
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, her beloved parents, Frank and Mary De Vellis , her beloved brother-in-law, Stephen Hender.; and her dear friend, Clayton James.
She is survived by her sister, Cecelia (De Vellis) Hender, (deceased spouse Stephen), her sister, Annette (De Vellis) Lord and spouse Robert, her brother Thomas De Vellis and spouse Patricia. She is also survived by her loving nephew, Jeffrey Hender and his wife, Christine and their daughter Adeline; and her nephew Robert Lord and wife Laura. She is also survived by her loving Aunt, Mary Balzano and many loving cousins throughout the family.
She was lovingly referred to as Auntie Kitty all her days by her nephews, Jeffrey and Bobby; and her great-niece, Adeline.
Marygrace (as she was named) was deeply loved by family and friends and she missed her family in heaven so much. During the last few months she would ask to hear stories of her childhood and about her Italian heritage. She is now with all those she missed so much and we are grateful that she is no longer in pain.
Service will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge. Visiting hours from 10 to 12 PM. Interment will be private.
