GALGAY, Michael J., of Watertown, formerly of Cambridge, passed peacefully in his sleep on December 27, 2022. Beloved son of the late William J. Galgay, Jr. and Fay H. (Burns) Galgay. Loving brother of William F. Galgay, III, Mary Galgay, and Martin Galgay, all of Cambridge, and the late Stephen Galgay of Concord. Michael was a longtime resident of Cambridge. He played sports for Cambridge High & Latin, including baseball, track, and shotput. He was an avid poet and enjoyed poetry slams in Central Square. He was for many years actively involved with homeless and substance abuse issues in the Cambridge area. There will be a celebration of his life in the spring time.
