Patricia (Pat) Gleason of Cambridge, Massachusetts, died Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Sancta Maria Nursing Facility at the age of 70.
Born on August 17, 1951 in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Mary (Shea) Gleason. She attended M.E Fitzgerald School and Cambridge High and Latin, and continued her education to become an aesthetician, also working as a secretary. She enjoyed music, especially the “British Invasion” pop groups of the 1960s, played several musical instruments, loved to sing, and took professional singing lessons at Longy School of Music in Cambridge. As a teenager, Pat enjoyed wearing “mod” clothes, was a fashion icon in high school, and a popular figure in a group of high school kids who frequented the coffee shops of 1960s Harvard Square. Pat even visited Greenwich village in New York City with a friend when she was in high school, and they went to some famous folk music clubs there.
Pat is survived by a sister, Susan Gleason of Seattle, WA, a brother and his wife, Karl and Cyrilla Gleason of Vancouver, WA, a niece and her husband, Ruth and Dave Tomandl of Kirkland, WA, a nephew and his wife, Daniel and Bethany Gleason of Seattle, WA, and a nephew, Mark Gleason and his fiancé Jessica Hunt of Baltimore, MD.
