Mehigan, Patricia (Niland) of Somerville, born May 22,1932 passed Jan 10, 2022. Beloved wife of the late James F. Jr. Daughter of the late Patrick and Helen Niland. Loving Mother to James P., Patricia Trullo, Ann Marie, Daniel M, Kevin J, and Nora all of Somerville. Devoted Nonni to Sam Trullo of Quincy. Patsy was a loving sister to John, and his late wife Frances, of Hanson, George of Weymouth, Richard, and Ann of E. Milton, Estelle, and John Freeburger, of NW Rochester, MN, William, and Mary Donavan, of Hudson, FL, William, and Judith, of Plymouth, Francis of Stoneham, and Joan of Chelmsford. In addition, Patsy was a loving sister to the late Thomas, Robert, both of Dorchester, and Leo and Helen Fennell of Melrose. Sister-in-Law to the late John (Jack) and his wife Susan Mehigan, of Watertown, Larry, and the late Noreen (Mary) Brown, of Santa Barbara, Patsy is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Patsy was born and raised in Dorchester. Ma was born to love and nurture everyone who’s life she touched. The first of twelve children, she loved and care for all of them nothing gave Ma more joy than family. Moving to Somerville after she married Dad, she remained there for the rest of her life. She raised 6 children, with the same love and care she had known her whole life. Her pride was Sam, her children, and her family. Ma’s love, strength, and compassion showed in everything she did. Ma you were our anchor in our lives. You taught us love, strength, compassion, faith, and no matter what happens there is a reason, and we that could weather any storm if we had each other. You will be a part of us forever, until we meet again. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday Jan. 13th in Saint John’s Church, Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE from 4-7 pm (masks are required). A funeral mass will be on Friday in Saint John’s Church at 11 am. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
