Albertelli, Philip J., 52 years old, of Melrose, MA, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2023 surrounded by his closest loved ones. Phil was the son of Donna (Terry) Albertelli and the late Ronald J. Albertelli, of Melrose, MA, brother of Christine Albertelli, and her husband, Paul Gallagher, of Somerville, MA, and longtime partner of Diana Pascuccio, of Stoneham, MA. He was the cherished uncle of Katharine and Helen Gallagher of Somerville, MA. He was the beloved grandson of the late John J. and Frances (Campbell) Terry of Somerville, MA and the late Mario and Mary (Cummings) Albertelli of Cambridge, MA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who already miss him dearly.

After graduating from Melrose High School in 1989, he worked for several roofing and construction companies in Eastern Massachusetts. He was known for his work ethic and craftsmanship, as well as for being incredibly strong and fearless. He gave those gifts of himself selflessly to everyone he knew, always going above and beyond to make anyone’s life better. He will be forever missed for having the biggest, most generous heart, a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh and a kind word or hilarious quip for any situation. He would be the first one there if you needed help, and would quickly have you laughing about it no matter what you had to face.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington, MA, on Sunday, September 17th from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, September 18th at 11:30 AM at St. Agnes Parish, 32 Medford Street, Arlington, MA, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Philip’s name to the American Heart Association.
