SERRA, Raymond A., Sr., of Somers, CT, passed away on April 14, 2023, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of 64 years to Barbara (Rees) Serra., Loving father of Raymond Serra and his wife MaryAnn, Brenda Saya and her husband Jim, and the late Eric Serra. Cherished grandfather of Eric and Julia Serra and Colleen and Graham Saya. Dear brother of the late Lina Costello and Rick Serra. Raymond had a long, successful career at Pratt Whitney as an aeronautical engineer. In retirement, he enjoyed trips to the Metropolitan Opera House and good Italian meals. He was also an avid follower of both the stock market and UCONN Women's basketball. A private burial will be held in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield, MA.
