Teresa Florence “Dorgie” LaRocca
Age 93
Passed away peacefully in her home in Yarmouth Port surrounded by her loving family. Teresa, “Dorgie”, was born in Hazelton, PA on September 26, 1926. Her mother relocated her family to Cambridge Port where Teresa met and later married, the love of her life, Peter LaRocca. She attended St. Mary of the Annunciation School in Cambridge, MA. In 1948, she was named “Miss Lever Brothers” and also worked at the MIT Faculty Club. Teresa and Peter raised their family on Harvard Street in Cambridge and lovingly devoted themselves to their four children. She always said she was a “city girl” but lived out her golden years on Cape Cod with her family. Teresa’s kindness, love and compassion touched many lives. She taught us that love is limitless. Her gentle soul, strength, amazing storytelling capabilities, words of wisdom and wonderful sense of humor will live forever in our hearts. Words could not express how much she will be missed.
Teresa leaves behind four children, Suzanne LaRocca of Stoneham, Peter P. LaRocca, Jr., Jeffrey LaRocca, Annette LaRocca and Son-In-Law Brian Snow, all of Yarmouth Port, MA. Five grandchildren, Julie Farren, Justin Ames, Anthony Shaheen, Jessica Bush & Marcus LaRocca and 4 great-grandchildren Amanda, Bobby, Juliana and Justin, Jr.
A celebration of Teresa’s life will take place at a date to be determined where friends and family can gather together again & reminisce and celebrate Teresa’s wonderful life.
A private burial will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at The Cambridge Cemetery.
