Obituary for Thomas A. Wall

Thomas Anthony Wall 1929 - 2024

Thomas Anthony Wall passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024, at the age of 94. A long time Lexington resident, he was born in Dromcolliher, County Limerick, Ireland to Charles P. Wall and Margaret Wall (née Forrest).

Tom immigrated to the United States where he met his wife Joan. While raising a family together, Tom worked as a Metropolitan insurance agent for many years before continuing on to be a real estate appraiser. He enjoyed gardening, traveling with his wife, and spending time together at their Cape Cod cottage. Tom also enjoyed creative writing and successfully published a book in his retirement years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and lived an exemplary faith filled life.

Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Joan Wall (née McCarthy) and was a loving father to David P. Wall of Wellesley and his wife Deborah, Cathleen M. Wall (deceased), John T. Wall (deceased) and Maureen E. Levangie (née Wall) of Lexington and her husband Jack. Tom is also survived by his sister Mary Wall of Ireland and by his grandchildren James Wall, Julia Wall, Kaitlin Levangie and Colleen Levangie and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Rev. David Wall, James Wall and his sister, Joan Wall, as well as his sister-in-laws, Rona Wall and Janet Puffer and brothers-in-law Stephen Puffer and Bill McCarthy. Tom's valued friendship with Dan Puffer (deceased) and his wife Jane will be missed.

A visitation will be held at St. Brigid Church in Lexington on February 23, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and a Funeral Mass will immediately follow. Interment to conclude at Westview Cemetery.
