Obituary for Vera Piantedosi-Di Vico (Piantedosi)

ARLINGTON: Elvira A. Piantedosi-Di Vico (Vera), 89, a Watertown native, died after a serious illness on Saturday, March 16, 2024. She was married to the late Ercole (Leo) Di Vico. She was born in Watertown on September 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Angelo and Pasqualina Piantedosi. She had been a resident of Arlington for many years.

Prior to her retirement, Vera was a long-time employee of John Penny Enterprises. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. She was also an animal advocate, a serious Red Sox fan, and a music lover.

Her survivors include her sister, Josephine Rosa of Florida and many nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her sisters Rose Zimmerman of Billerica, Mary Bivans of California, Jean Berry of Watertown, and her brother John Piantedosi of Waltham.

Family and friends will honor and remember Vera's life by gathering at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington, on Monday morning, April 1 at 10 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass at Saint Agnes Church, 30 Medford Street, Arlington, at 11:30 a.m.
