Yvonne M. Zinfon of Arlington passed away on September 7, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Cambridge, she was a 32-year liver transplant survivor and a strong advocate for organ donation. A graduate of the former Fr. Matignon High School in Cambridge, she retired from Harvard University in 2007 after a long career as an Executive Administrator for the Economics Department. Yvonne rejoiced in music, having been a long-standing member of Saint Agnes and Saint Eulalia Catholic church choirs for many years. She also enjoyed reading and nature.
Yvonne is predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Eldora (Fougere) and Leo Joseph DeYoung of Arlington, brother Robert DeYoung and sister-in-law Paula DeYoung of Melrose. She is survived by her loving siblings: Elizabeth (Betty) and her husband, James Schipani of Cambridge and brother Edward DeYoung and his wife, Bernice of Florida. She is also survived by her children: Nyla Zinfon of Arlington, Mark Zinfon and his wife, Kathy of Ohio and three grandchildren: Emily Zinfon and her husband Phill Slack of Florida, Mary Zinfon and Peter Zinfon both of Boston and several nieces and nephews who will miss her terribly.

Calling hours will be at Keefe Funeral Home in Arlington on Oct. 4, 2023 from 10 – 11 a.m. Mass will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m., followed by a private burial
