Who We Are

We are the Keefe family, and this is what we know and love. We are brothers - Tim and Chad - and we grew up in our family’s Cambridge funeral home, where our father (Charles Jr) took over the funeral home business from his father (Charles Sr). It’s in the blood, and we have been indelibly shaped by our family traditions of service and care. Over time, we have discerningly brought into the fold some expert, knowledgeable staff members to help us carry on these storied traditions, while adding fresh perspective and energy.

Our History

Our family-owned funeral firm has offered expert, sensitive care for over three generations. Since Charles D. Keefe, Sr opened the doors in North Cambridge in 1951, Keefe Funeral Homes has provided comfort and service in times of need. In 1993, we opened our second home in Arlington, and the next Keefe generation has been proudly serving the greater Boston area ever since. While we have firm roots that have provided the steady, tested expertise families can count on, we also have grown with the times and are proud to offer one-of-a-kind, innovative services and honor modern wishes.
